Food Colouring

Food colouring is a high intensity dye that is added to food and drink to change the colouring. Our food colouring comes in powder form and can be mixed into a liquid by adding a small amount of water.

Why add colour? Well, people associate certain colours with certain flavours and research suggests the colour of food or drink can hugely influence the perceived flavour and experience. It can also help make boring beige foods look more attractive and appealing. Probably the most well-known example is in baking where icing is coloured to create different cake designs.

The majority of our products are water-based thickeners and create a translucent gel. Maybe you want to add colour to the gel to make it more appealing or noticeable.
